Allegri's woes to continue as Gasperini's men keep up the pressure on the top two. The Vecchia Signora really need to win this one but that should play straight into their visitors' hands. Pick: Juve 1-2 Atalanta.
Atalanta might not be as explosive as they were last season, but they can still pull off results with plenty of goals. With Juve needing a win, Atalanta have the power to make their title defense more complicated than it already is.
Atalanta was much luckier than La Vecchia Signora, since they stayed with the 5th spot of the standings and therefore they will play in the UEFA Europa League of the upcoming season.

Less relentless domestically than before, the Bergamo outfit have only won two of their last seven in Serie A with three losses making this a shaky period at Gewiss Stadium. A 3-0 home win over Fiorentina last weekend was a step in the right direction as they seek to rediscover the form that had them scoring 13 for five conceded just before their sticky recent run. Three of their last five wins have been on the road so that is a source of encouragement for Atalanta as they travel to Turin and begin their long-term preparations to face Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Gian Piero Gasperini's men are unbeaten in six Serie A games and are yet to lose on the road this term. The Orobici have not tasted domestic defeat away from Gewiss Stadium in 12 matches when Inter Milan beat them back in March. Last time out, Atalanta beat Spezia 5-2 and the last meeting with Juve was a 1-0 win courtesy of a late Ruslan Malinovskyi strike. La Dea are unbeaten in three against their Turin hosts and Duva Zapata has scored eight times already this season which is more than Bonucci and Dybala combined.
Atalanta: Gasperini needs to change the trend after two home defeats, and Juventus are not the ideal opponent to face. However, winning against Allegri would bring back a good feeling among the fans as well, who are now frustrated after also losing against Fiorentina in the last Coppa Italia match. Atalanta also have to deal with injuries since Duvan Zapata is again unavailable. New signing Jeremie Boga showed his skills and scored his first goal at the club against Fiorentina and can be a crucial player against Juventus.

In the Champions League, a 3-0 win away at Barcelona secured top spot in Group G and with Porto now their known round of 16 opponents, Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates can concentrate on closing the gap to Milan.

Juventus: Juve have a great opportunity to boost their Champions League ambitions against Atalanta and Massimiliano Allegri can count on players such as Dusan Vlahović and Paulo Dybala who gave a positive feedback in their first games they played together. Juventus are unbeaten in their last 10 Serie A matches, which is their best such run since going 12 unbeaten between September and December 2020. Juventus' last league defeat was back in the reverse fixture earlier this season against Atalanta, at the end of November.
Juventus: With four wins from their last five across all competitions as part of a 10-match unbeaten run, Juve are getting back to their best form after a slow start to the season. Strangely, Pirlo's team is unbeaten domestically but has struggled to turn draws into wins at times with five ties in total this campaign contributing towards 10 points being dropped.
Meanwhile, Atalanta gave up the first goal in this one, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged Spezia out 3-2. Winning may never get old, but Atalanta sure are getting used to it with three in a row.
Juventus host Atalanta on Wednesday with the Italian champions six points ahead of their visitors but four points behind Serie A leaders AC Milan. The gap closed a little over the weekend with Andrea Pirlo's men winning away at lowly Genoa and improving Parma holding Stefano Pioli's side to a draw, but it is Milan's turn to face the strugglers this midweek with three points expected.
Juventus didn't get the result they wanted in their first fixture with Napoli on Friday. The White and Blacks must be hurting after a devastating 5-1 loss at the hands of the Little Donkeys.
