Após o anúncio de que a JYP Entertainment havia dado unfollow em alguns membros do GOT7, foi revelado pelo site Allkpop que Mark, JB, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam e Yugyeom decidiram não renovar o contrato com a agência sul-coreana. Nos últimos tempos, rumores sobre o fim do grupo estavam ganhando força, principalmente depois que uma lista de possíveis disbands em 2021 foi divulgada.
Jackson, por sua vez, continuará com sua carreira solo e a própria empresa, a Team Wang, e Mark irá para os Estados Unidos para focar em seu canal no YouTube. Apenas BamBam e JB ainda não estão envolvidos em rumores com novas agências.

Formado pela Starship Entertainment, o Sistar surgiu em 2010. Apesar de ter lançado apenas dois álbuns, o grupo fez bastante sucesso e até hoje é lembrado. No entanto, o disband aconteceu em 2017, após o lançamento do EP "Lonely". Ao que tudo indica, as integrantes tinham a regra de terminar com o grupo caso alguém decidisse sair. Bom, foi o que aconteceu quando Hyorin quis deixar o Sistar.
